Our Story
What started as a fun event amongst friends quickly turned into a community project geared toward open expression, creative freedom, and connection. Today, that same spirit of open expression fuels everything we do – creating space for artists to be heard and for our community to come together.
For 3 years we hosted events in Portland, OR at Page St Sound Lab with audio and visual by Spectravision, photography by Javier David Photography, and behind the scene videos by Tone Defined Enterprises. Since then, we’ve expanded our reach to help any community in the US.
Mission & Goal
A Commitment to Excellence, Crafting Our Legacy!
Sypher Saturdays is committed to breaking down barriers, uplifting underrepresented voices, and creating a platform where diversity and creativity flourish together. Our mission is not just about hosting events; it’s about building a movement that celebrates the richness of our cultures, the depth of our talents, and the power of our stories.

Amplify Unheard Voices
We create space for artists and storytellers from underrepresented communities to be seen, heard, and celebrated – not just featured.

Build Community Through Culture
Every event brings people together across various backgrounds to connect through shared creativity – not just consume it.

Invest in Creative Talent
Your support goes toward resources, mentorship, and stipends that help emerging artists grow their craft and their reach.

Break Down Barriers to Access
We keep events free or low-cost so financial barriers never decide who gets to participate or perform.

What is Freestyling?
Freestyling is an electrifying art form of expression that allows an artist to showcase their creativity, skill, and quick thinking.
It’s a form of improv!
